Legal Secretaries of D.C., Inc. (LSDC) is an association of and for legal secretaries. It was formed to respond to the educational and networking needs of legal secretaries as an affordable means of increasing their knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities. It is affiliated with Legal Secretaries International Inc.

Our Mission

We are an educational association for legal secretaries whose members value ethics, professionalism, and continuing legal education. Our mission is to increase the competencies of legal secretaries so that they may better serve attorneys, courts, businesses, and governments.

 Code of Ethics

Members support and abide by the Code of Professional Responsibility of the American Bar Association as well as the Legal Secretary's Creed.

Recognizing the right of the public to expect all members of the legal profession to exemplify the highest standards of competence, integrity, honesty, confidentiality, loyalty, and courtesy, we resolve to promote those ideals.

We resolve to increase our abilities through continuing legal education and to inspire, encourage, and share knowledge with others in the legal secretarial field.

bullet We resolve to uphold the dignity of our chosen profession and to refrain from any unauthorized practice of law.
